Acre

On a bright sunny Sunday, we all got together at Acre to celebrate a friend's birthday. Acre can be found in Camperdown Commons, a lovely patch of greenery with some chickens and vege in the middle of Camperdown. There are a few venues on site and they serve lunch and breakfast, too.

After a small misunderstanding about the booking that the staff sorted out expertly, they seated all sixteen of us and began to serve our set menu.

The set menu was $25 and owing to the size of our group, we had to take it. It was well worth it though, and we ended up with so much leftover to take home.   Acre was great at sorting out dietary requirements - we had sheep's milk yoghurt for the lactose intolerant - and there was some stuff that the kids liked as well.

My favorite dish! Oatmeal with granola. Thick and warm and perfect for a winter's day

Beans, homemade salami & sausages. The sausages - my second favorite - were juicy and filling but I found the salami too thick.

Eggs, Breas & Fruit! (Soldiers a separate order) it's no wonder we had so much left

Acre is a great place to get together with friends, especially bigger groups and they take reservations. Lovely, scrumptious fresh food at a very good price point.

Acre is at 31a Mallet Street, Camperdown Commons, NSW.
